Latin Party this Friday, July 23

Break out your Latin dance shoes. Queen City Ballroom is having another one of our hot Latin Parties. We are getting together Friday, July 23 from 8 - 9:30 pm. The lights will be low, and the music will be all latin. Salsa, Bachata and Merengue to get your weekend off to a high-energy start. There will also be some Tango Argentino plus a few other exciting selections just to “keep you on your toes.” Admission is $10 at the door. Refreshments are included in the price of admission.

Our next Moonlight Dance will be held on Friday, August 6. Get your weekend started with an evening of music, dancing and fun. The evening begins with a high-energy Salsa Class at 8:00 p.m. After the class, dance the night away to our 4,000 song music selection. Ballroom, Latin, Salsa and Swing are all in our state-of-the-art music system for your dancing pleasure. The dance floor is open from 9 - 11. There will be a dazzling show at 10 featuring Queen City Ballroom students and staff. All dancers are welcome. You don’t have to be a student to attend. Admission is $5 for the class and $10 for the party. Refreshments are complimentary with admission.

New Group Classes August 1

New Group Classes are starting on August 1. Queen City Ballroom is proud to offer a full month of group classes for one low price of $59.00. Classes are held Monday - Thursday at both 7 and 8 pm. Come to as many classes as you like. The more you attend, the more fun you have and the more people you meet! Drop in on single classes for just $10 or enjoy the entire month for one low price.

Starlight Ball Friday, August 13, 7:00 - 9:30

We had so much fun at our last Starlight Ball that we’re hosting another one! This is Queen City Ballroom’s VIP Event. The Starlight Ball is a very special kind of party! Every teacher has a dance card and when the music begins, the party goers dance every other song with an instructor. After some great dancing and fun, each student gets to show off a little of what he or she has been working on. It is an informal demonstration of how fun it is to learn with your instructor. A sumptuous dinner, cocktails and wine are all part of the evening.

We are fortunate at Queen City Ballroom to have some of the most prominent coaches in the world of DanceSport to visit our studio. They share terriffic new choreography with us and make an amazing difference in our dancing with the knowledge the bring. Summer Showcase July 31

Our Summer Showcase is titled Disney DreamWorks. Queen City Ballroom students and staff are creating fun and exciting routines to the music of Disney and Dreamworks movies from the past several years. Be sure to join in. It’s a fun show and a great way to help children as proceeds from the show go to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

North Carolina Classic September 19

Queen City Ballroom needs YOU on our team! Sunday, September 19, dance studios and dancers from Charlotte and the surrounding region get together at the Hilton Charlotte Center City for the 10th annual North Carolina Classic! Every dancer is needed as the judges tally up the points to see which team will walk away with the coveted Top Studio Award. It is a fun light hearted day filled with plenty of spirit and dancing. Many dancers will compete for scholarship awards and a Top Solo Award. There is a VIP Cocktail party afterward with an extravegant dinner dance and breathtaking cabare show featuring Dancesport legends Maurizio Vescova & Andra Vaidilaite! Ask a staff member how you can attend. This event is too HOT to miss!
