At Queen City Ballroom, we start every student with a complimentary private dance lesson. This gives you a dance professional who will tailor the instruction to fit your particular needs. Work at your own pace while enjoying one-on-one attention and dancing to music you listen to every day. It’s totally free and it gives you a chance to see how fun and easy dance can be. Whether you want to meet new people, get healthy, or just brush up on a few moves, Queen City Ballroom offers a wide variety learning tools with hours that can accommodate any schedule. After your complimentary private lesson, your instructor will recommend a program of private lessons and group classes designed for your skill level and schedule. Below are examples of some of our learning tools.
Private Lessons
Private Dance Lessons are a fast and effective way to become an accomplished dancer. Lessons are tailored to suit each student’s individual abilities and interests. In private lessons, your instructor will teach you the techniques of Lead & Follow with grace and style. You will also learn balance, coordination, and poise in a dance program especially designed to meet your needs. We highly recommend that all new students begin with our complimentary private lesson.
Wedding Dance Program
Your first dance as husband and wife is a memory that will last a lifetime. Let us help you make this moment even more special with our Wedding Dance Program. We can create a personalized dance for the Bride and Groom to your favorite song, and provide a recorded video of your routine so you can practice at home. Dance instruction for parents of the couple, and group classes for the entire wedding party are also available.
Group Classes
Group classes are a great way to reinforce your private dance lessons while learning new steps and reviewing familiar ones with several different partners. We have a new schedule of Group Classes every month. Just click on Group Class Schedule. Our group classes meet every weeknight at 7:00 and 8:00 pm. Drop in on any lesson for just $10 or pay only $70 per month for unlimited group classes.
Dance Parties
There is no better night on the town than at Queen City Ballroom’s Moonlight Dance Party. Dance the night away to the best combination of Ballroom, Latin and Swing music. Join us every Friday night at 9:00 pm for only $10. Bring your friends or make new ones on the dance floor. Complimentary cocktails and hors d’ouevres are included with your admission.
Come early and enjoy a Beginner-Intermediate Group lesson before the party for an additional $10. Class begins at 8:00 pm. If you are already part of our Unlimited Group Class Program, the Friday group class is included at no charge.
